What does it mean?
The SBS reality show Jjak, which began in March 2011, called on-camera participants by numbered labels like 'Man No. 1' and 'Woman No. 1' instead of their real names, following their search for a match while living together in a shared space called 'Aejeongchon' (Love Village), and it drew huge attention. In an early season, 'Woman No. 1,' nicknamed the 'chair-daughter,' actually went on to marry a fellow contestant, which became a topic of its own, but the show faced major controversy and questions about its survival after a participant died during filming in 2013.
