What does it mean?
In volume 1 of One Piece, Luffy declares as he leaves home, 'I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!' — rendered in the official Korean edition as '해적왕이 될 남자다' ('I am the man who will become King of the Pirates'). The line appears throughout every One Piece medium as Luffy's signature phrase, and the author himself explained its significance in the SBS Q&A corner of volume 91.
