What does it mean?
The trend began in December 2023 when a video from a Dubai chocolate brand went viral on TikTok for months, before landing in Korea in the summer of 2024. Convenience stores across the country sold out repeatedly as people searched for the chocolate, filled with kadayif (Middle Eastern shredded pastry) and pistachio cream. The craze even caused pistachio prices to spike.
