What does it mean?
In a 1999 ad for KTF's email service, singers Jo Sung-mo and Lee Jung-hyun played a couple saying goodbye, ending with the flirtatious line "sleep tight, dream of me" ("jalja nae kkumkkwo"). The ad's sparkly teddy bear also became a huge hit, with the "dream-of-me bear" toy becoming a near-essential item among students. Roughly 200 parody versions mimicking the delivery in celebrities' voices reportedly circulated on TV and radio, and the line ranked among the top catchphrases of 1999 -- a prime example of an ad tagline becoming an everyday greeting.
